On-site team training is included in The Complete Sleep Solution package or available as a stand-alone option. We also offer options for a second day or a second trainer, which is great for larger offices.
Before your on-site
We strongly recommend attending a CE course like the Strengthening Practices through Dental Sleep Medicine and Medical Billing. However, attending a course may not be feasible with locations and course schedules. We teach a very condensed version of the CE course while onsite that covers the basics of sleep, dangers of untreated apnea, bruxism, comorbidities, the risk to the patient and why it is so important to invest in the patient’s overall health.
Online Software Training
One of our trainers will complete three separate online training sessions with your office. The first one covers setup and admin roles in the software. The second training goes more in depth into how to use the software. And the third training is a medical billing overview. Each training is recorded and then sent to your office for future reference or training new staff in the future.
Schedule your on-site for a full day without patients.
The day of your on-site
Your on-site should be scheduled for a day without patients and your entire team should be a part of the morning session.
The first half of the day is all about sleep:
- how it affects our health
- how to interpret a home sleep test
- why we home sleep test patients in the practice instead of referring them elsewhere. We want the patient to remain in the practice if at all possible
- why we treat sleep in dentistry
The second half of the day is about the flow in your office and integrating sleep into your process. Every office does things a little different and we customize based on your needs and the size of your office. We cover:
- treatment planning
Each employee logs in and to create a sleep period for themselves and goes through the process as if they are an actual patient. We go through intra and extra oral exams. We cover what needs to be done at the impression appointment with the Doctor and the appointment for the delivery of the appliance. We also teach the correct RiPPLE position and bite. Last we explain the lab options and correct delivery of the appliance.
Ending the day
We work with your team to perfect the flow and make sure everyone is comfortable with their role in sleep medicine and answer all questions. We go over consents and everything the front desk needs. If you are planning to screen on iPads we get those set up before we leave.
Two Day On-Site
If your practice opts for a two day on-site, the second day of training will be a normal day for your office, except we are there to help. Your trainer will walk you through the process and flow of integrating sleep. We actually work alongside you with your patients as if we are your employee. We discuss screening results and try our best to get the patient to agree to home sleep testing and an appliance. We will work with the office manager or sleep coordinator on verification of benefits, pre-authorization, and claims. We make sure they are comfortable with iPads or paper screenings, consent forms, and where all that information belongs in imagn.
Coaching is scheduled before we leave. Your contract with imagn covers coaching calls once a week for 8 weeks and then once a month for a year. We try to be available whenever you need a little extra assistance.
We also offer additional on-site days as needed. Practices that utilize all the training and coaching available to them are the most successful.
